Inspired by the European deli, from the construction of an antipasti platter, enjoying a café-styled brunch with a great coffee and range of temptations, savoring a late afternoon cheeseboard with a glass of wine, or simply selecting the freshest imported and Australian produce, The Food Store caters for a multitude of affairs.
Launched in the new Surfers Paradise Hilton Hotel, The Food Store concept was created to meet a growing demand for better and more informal food options for hotel guests. The store offers guests a deli style experience with great food and beverages that can be consumed either in the café or taken away to be eaten in the guest’s room.
The Food Store is divided into various smaller spaces consisting of the wine shop and delicatessen, the café and patisserie and finally a number of customer seating areas. All of these spaces integrate with, but are also visually separate form the reception by being treated as a dark U-shaped extrusion, open to but in contrast to the light stone of the latter.
